As an electrical designer, Xavier focuses on protection and control, substation grounding analysis and design, as well as power quality. He applies these skills to the heavy industrial, utility, and renewable energy sectors, primarily assisting and leading power system design and analysis projects.
Xavier also assists in business development for electrical design and provides internal mentoring for the electrical engineering field. He most enjoys the variety of his work within different projects—this introduces new sets of challenges requiring him to come up with creative designs and apply leading methods of analysis to solve problems. An initiative Xavier is passionate about is his work to improve electrical safety in the workplace through careful engineering design, analysis, and education.
Outside of work, Xavier is an active member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers (IEEE). He also enjoys photography and the outdoors, usually bringing his camera on adventures to capture landscapes, wildlife, and the occasional portrait.
