Monique’s passion for engineering was sparked by her father’s career as a boat builder, inspiring her to obtain her mechanical engineering degree from University of British Columbia with a specialty in naval architecture. After graduation, she transitioned from boat design to thermal power systems in the forestry sector, later venturing into hydropower generation, transmission, and distribution.
With a strong foundation in project delivery and operational leadership, Monique has led impactful initiatives across the energy and resources, water, and infrastructure sectors. As the business center operations leader for our Western Canada Energy team, she oversees strategic execution and exceptional client service.
Beyond her professional responsibilities, Monique is committed to promoting education and outreach for women and girls in STEM fields. She also serves on the steering committee for the British Columbia Chapter of the Women’s Infrastructure Network.
Away from the world of energy and resources, Monique enjoys gardening, cheering on her favorite sports teams, and spending time with her two daughters.
