Climate Scientist

Photo of Kimberly

Drawing on her passion for the environment, Kim helps find solutions for unique climate change issues facing clients and communities. With an understanding that climate change adaptation and mitigation aren’t one-size-fits-all, she believes that strategies should consider the unique context of each building, ecosystem, and community. She brings her background as a climate change educator and scientist to her current role--where she specializes in climate risk assessment, adaptation planning, facilitation, and other areas geared towards improving climate resilience in cities and communities.

Kim holds a PhD with a focus on exploring the impacts of climate change on animal populations in small tropical ecosystems. She has also collaborated extensively with policy makers and nongovernmental organizations in communicating climate science to communities and representatives of various sectors.

When she’s not immersed in the science of climate change, Kim can often be found surrounded by art and nature. She is an avid painter, hiker, and amateur fountain pen collector.
