Environmental Engineer in Training

Photo of Janice

Janice is a master of science graduate and has completed extensive research into the management and remediation of contaminated sites, specifically with a focus on per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS). Prior to her graduate studies, Janice was a co-op student in environmental engineering with work terms at Stantec.

She has experience in the field working on activities relating to Phase I, II, and III environmental site assessments (ESAs), soil and groundwater remediation, and environmental site monitoring. From a reporting perspective, Janice developed strong research and technical writing skills through her master’s program and has contributed to many reporting deliverables since joining Stantec, including contamination overview studies, remedial options analysis, and ESAs. Janice has contributed to several large federal programs, in addition to working on projects with clients in the private, municipal, and oil and gas sectors.

In her spare time, Janice really enjoys running, which has led to volunteering with Special Olympics Ontario and being a guide runner for an Achilles athlete.
