Since getting his start as a field tech on a Wisconsin River floodplain research project in 2000, Josh has conducted field work across the US Midwest and as far as California, Nevada, Louisiana, and Maine.

An environmental scientist, Josh has expertise in botany, ecological restoration, wetland science, and climate adaptation. He enjoys working with clients to develop and implement innovative solutions that protect the environment and communities. His academic research has focused on the phylogenetics, taxonomy, and ecology of the aquatic plant genus Sparganium.

Outside of work, you’ll find Josh hiking and biking with the family, attending live music events, playing wiffleball, and volunteering.
