Based in Chicago, Manoshree has over 20 years of experience as a geotechnical engineer, project manager, and client service manager for hydro and non-hydro dams. Her focus is on dam safety including condition assessments/inspections, instrumentation review, potential failure modes analysis, risk assessments, and rehabilitation design and construction. Manoshree also provides project and client service management for several long-standing hydropower clients.
She is a Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) approved Part 12D independent consultant and has spent five years at the FERC-Chicago regional office in the Dam Safety and Inspections division. In her Stantec role as regional sector lead for the Great Lakes and Midwest regions for WaterPower & Dams, she is working to leverage her experience to develop new relationships and grow the dams and hydropower services and expertise in the regions.
Recently having completed two three-year terms on the board of directors for the United States Society on Dams (USSD)—from 2012 to 2018—including the roles of secretary-treasurer and vice president, Manoshree is active in supporting the USSD leadership and participating in technical committees. She also serves as a peer review member for the Association of State Dam Safety Officials (ASDSO), and in 2018, she co-authored the 2018 American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) publication Monitoring Dam Performance: Instrumentation and Measurements.
