As a senior environmental scientist, Steve is known in the energy sector for his skills and experience in soil science as well as environmental assessment. He serves as the Ontario Environmental Services subsector lead for Environmental Inspection, and he is often called on as a national subject matter expert for soils.
Steve loves when he gets to work on a project from start to finish, and on natural gas pipeline projects, this can take several years. He started working for a large natural gas client on the environmental assessment of a pipeline project in 2013, was on site during construction, and will complete the post-construction soil and crop monitoring program in 2023.
Outside of work, Steve keeps up an active lifestyle playing hockey, skiing, coaching sports, and cottaging with his wife, kids, and longtime friends. To him, those are his greatest, most meaningful moments.
