Dave began his career in roadway design, but once he got a taste of field work he never looked back. Thirty years as a construction manager and resident engineer proves it was the right decision. Dave likes to roll up his sleeves and work alongside owners, consultants, and users to build spaces that impact his community. From bridge replacements and cold recycle and overlays, to urban interstate reconstruction, he has managed projects of all sizes and levels of complexity.
Dave enjoys the comradery of working with a team to find the best solution to complex construction issues. He has been a resident engineer on projects of all sizes and levels of complexity, including conventional design/bid/build, and design/build involving a wide variety of new construction, rehabilitation, bridge construction and bridge widening, asphalt, and concrete paving. His background includes successfully administering a $300 million construction program and $45 million maintenance program for NDOT. He also administered a $350 million transportation program for Guam Department of Public Works. Recently, Dave was a resident engineer on the Honolulu Rail Transit Project (HRTP).
In his free time, you’ll find Dave hiking, biking, boating in the summer, or hitting the slopes in the winter.
