Throughout her career, Beth has demonstrated a sustained trajectory of innovation and leadership. She’s been an engineer for over 20 years, with professional experience in both the public and private sectors. Her current priorities include leading regional energy transitions, decarbonization, and integrating climate change mitigation and adaptation into engineering services.
Beth has applied her expertise as a commissioning provider (BCxP) and LEED accredited professional to a variety of sectors. She’s improving climate science literacy in engineering and developing adaptation collaboration within the building industry, and she’s directed commissioning, energy auditing, energy modeling, and life cycle cost assessments.
She served on Minnesota Governor Walz’s Resilience and Adaptation Action team, she’s a steering leader for the Minnesota Resiliency Collaboration and regional vice chair for the Governmental Affairs Committee for the American Society of Heating, Refrigerating, and Air-Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE), and she’s recently completed projects featuring university-level COVID HVAC assessments. Recently appointed, Beth currently serves on ASHRAE’s international Building Decarbonization Position Document Committee.
