Working alongside leaders across the business, he focuses on advancing strategic priorities, strengthening how we operate, and creating the conditions for people and teams to perform at their best.
With more than 30 years of experience in infrastructure and environmental programs, Matthew has built a career around helping organizations solve complex challenges and create lasting value. Before becoming COO for North America in 2026, he served as executive vice president and business operating unit leader for our Water team, where he accelerated growth, deepened client partnerships, and cultivated high-performing teams while championing a culture of enterprise excellence.
Matthew is a team-first leader who believes exceptional results are achieved through collaboration, trust, and a clear focus on what matters most. He measures success not only by business outcomes, but by the strength of relationships, the growth of people, and the positive impact projects have on communities. He is most inspired by bringing people together to tackle complex challenges and deliver solutions that improve everyday lives.
A veteran of the United States Army, Matthew was a platoon leader in the 10th Mountain Division after earning an engineering degree from the United States Military Academy at Westpoint. The leadership lessons he gained through military service continue to shape his commitment to service, accountability, and teamwork. He also holds a master's degree in environmental and water resources engineering from the University of Texas at Austin.
