As an internationally recognized coastal and ocean engineering expert, Doug brings world-renowned experience to projects involving data analysis, numerical modelling, wave process and climate, coastal assessments, environmental design criteria preparation, and field investigations. With more than 35 years of industry experience, he’s worked in Indonesia, Namibia, Philippines, Timor-Leste, Vanuatu, and the Maldives to provide technical expertise and investigations for major coastal and port projects.
Doug’s been at the forefront of storm tide study projects on the coastline of Queensland, working alongside local governments to increase storm tide hazard awareness among local community residents. He’s also taken great pride in working on the recent Wonder Reef project on the Gold Coast and delivering the navigation system upgrade at Port Kembla in New South Wales.
When he’s not around water, Doug enjoys hitting the greens during a game of golf and gardening in the greenery around his home.
