With a master’s degree in mechanical engineering and more than 17 years of experience in the hydropower industry, Jean-René has been involved in the design of turbines and major mechanical equipment in numerous hydroelectric power stations in Canada and abroad.
Jean-René has developed expertise in Finite Elements Analysis (FEA), planning rehabilitation projects, supporting installation teams and machining shops, and managing projects. Since 2012, he’s led our structural and mechanical team distributed across five offices in Quebec, specialized in Dams and Hydropower. Jean-René is also active in business development as the regional sector leader for Dams & Hydropower in Quebec. He is always seeking cross-office collaboration to better serve our clients, especially in Canada and the United States, and more recently in the United Kingdom.
After work, Jean-René likes commuting with his electric bike (powered by clean hydropower, of course), coaching a baseball team, and spending time outdoors—fishing, camping, mountain biking, and snowboarding with his kids.
