Bringing over 20 years of varied experience in developmental landscape architecture and park development, Ben has worked on projects across Canada. He has a special interest in sport field and athletic facility development, facilities programming, parks and open space design and implementation, and visual evaluation and assessment.
Ben’s initiative to develop sport field design and implementation to higher standards has resulted in his reputation as a leader in this field. In his position, he focuses on leading significant sport fields, and park development projects for various municipalities. Ben assists with business development and project management and, as a technical lead, helps carry projects from conceptual design through to construction administration.
With his professional interests extending into his personal life, Ben serves as the treasurer for Sports Turf Canada and is a board member for the Alberta Turfgrass Research Foundation. Living in Calgary provides him great access to the Rocky Mountains where he enjoys getting outside to ski, hike, practice photography, and spend time with his dog, Riley.
