April collaborates across our business centers and business lines to identify opportunities with existing federal clients and emerging markets. She oversees the development and execution of a client-focused strategy for our federal government water business, serves as the primary liaison between our water teams and US Federal Program, and coordinates the development of pursuit and execution teams.
Focusing on sustaining Stantec's ability to identify, win, and execute technically excellent and innovative federal projects, April recently contributed to the Orange County Coastal Storm Risk Management and Ecosystem Restoration Project—a 26-mile-long (42-kilometre) levee and floodwall system along the coastline near Galveston, Texas, that includes seven pump stations, two navigation gates, 453 acres (183 hectares) of marsh restoration, and 560 acres (227 hectares) of forested wetland preservation.
April is actively involved in the Society of American Military Engineers and is dedicated to supporting STEM initiatives, taking every opportunity to inspire and empower the next generation of engineers. When she’s not working to better the infrastructure of our nation, you’ll find her in the Bluegrass state surrounded by her horses and family.
