Joe has a varied background including hydrogen refueling, compressed air and gas treatment, and oil and gas. Since joining Stantec, his focus has been on energy projects, currently prioritizing energy from waste heat offtakes, decarbonization, and district heating schemes.
Joe particularly enjoys projects the team takes from concept through detailed design, to seeing them get built. His assignments are wide ranging across different technologies and project complexities, working on anything from feasibility studies to front end engineering design and engineering, procurement, and construction management. Regardless of the project scope and area, he proactively pushes projects through to completion whilst maintaining good communication to meet the needs of the client and community. Joe can be wholly flexible from very high-level coordination involvement to getting stuck into the details of technical and process challenges.
Outside of work Joe is a keen runner—whenever not chronically injured—and loves to travel. He’s presently trying to maintain having visited more countries than years he’s been alive for.
