Susan is a project executive for major projects at Stantec, supporting our North American Infrastructure business. Her portfolio spans transportation and community development, including ports and marine, roadways and bridges, transit and rail, airports, residential and commercial development, In her role, Susan partners closely with owners, contractors and delivery teams to strengthen project execution, provide senior‑level oversight, and share her experience with project managers delivering complex, long‑duration work.
With more than 35 years of experience in the planning, design, and construction of major infrastructure projects, Susan brings deep technical knowledge and a practical, solutions-focused approach to project delivery. She is motivated by the lasting impact of infrastructure projects that serve people and create long-term value for communities. Known for creative problem solving, innovative construction staging, strong project management skills, and analytical insight into design, Susan helps teams manage complexity while staying focused on schedule, budget, and results.
Susan previously served as executive vice president of our Infrastructure business in North America, and earlier in her career, she led the Transportation business. Those leadership roles now inform a hands‑on approach centered on mentorship, knowledge sharing, and supporting project managers through the challenges that come with delivering large, multi‑year projects.
Her signature projects, collectively totaling nearly $5 billion, include the Long Island Rail Road expansion, a project that added a third track to the heavily used Main Line that carries more than 300,000 passengers daily; the Atlantic Yards, a transit-oriented development project in Brooklyn, New York; New York City Transit’s South Ferry Tunnel and Terminal; and the State Highway 288 Toll Lanes Project in Houston, Texas.
