Santiago has more than 9 years of experience working with environment, health, and safety (EHS) and other sustainable development challenges within supply chains. Throughout this time, he has assessed, visited, and audited approximately 400 facilities across China and southeast Asia, including Vietnam and Indonesia.
The facilities Santiago has supported cross the chemical, pharmaceutical, metal, cosmetics, food, textile, and footwear industries. He is familiar with both global and local laws and regulations that cover wastewater discharge and air emission limits, chemical related issues, occupational health hazards prevention and control, and labor laws and regulations. Santiago has helped many supplies comply with international and local laws and regulations, which reduces risk for the facilities and the brand clients.
Outside of work, Santiago’s preferred hobbies are basketball, movies, reading, travelling, and music.
