An internationally recognized geoscientist, Thad is a geomatics leader with extensive experience running collaborative projects. His job? Growing Stantec’s geohazards and geomorphology services in the US and leading a highly specialized team. This team is focused on developing a nationally recognized presence in environmental hazards with an emphasis on risk to infrastructure, communities, and the natural environment.
Thad has 25 years of experience in geohazards and environmental change detection. His application of high-resolution topography and 2D modeling to assess and manage environmental hazards has resulted in more than 40 peer-reviewed articles and book chapters and over 75 presentations. He brings extensive international project experience to his work, which is now focused within the US.
When he isn’t working on geomatic projects, Thad enjoys downtime reading and cooking—and spending time outdoors mountain biking and hiking. He highly values spending time with his family, friends, and Luna (his dog).
