Growing up in Minnesota, Roger spent countless hours exploring lakes, streams, and forests, sparking a lifelong passion for aquatic ecology. Starting his career in the Upper Mississippi watershed, he went on to support significant restoration projects in the Chesapeake Bay region and across the US. Now, with more than three decades of experience, he leads nature-based solutions and ecosystem restoration initiatives, providing strategic leadership, technical oversight, and operational direction for complex environmental projects.
Roger also serves as our senior risk manager for the US and Canada, helping technical and delivery teams identify and mitigate project risks. Specializing in watershed management, ecological restoration, and environmental planning, he’s led projects ranging from water quality assessments and geomorphic studies to stream restoration, wetland mitigation, permitting, and large-scale ecosystem restoration design.
Taking his love of nature to his time away from work, Roger enjoys spending time outdoors with his wife and three children. He also likes fishing, maintaining his reef aquarium, and running.
