As a principal, with more than 20 years of experience, Alex plans and designs academic facilities to help higher education clients chart courses for continued growth. Combining design expertise with analysis, he solves challenges and helps successfully realize project goals through close client collaboration and design discovery with integrated teams.
Alex develops designs that optimally balance an institutions mission with its resources—academic, research, and support facilities—to define the overall campus vibe. He also focuses on the impacts of changing technology and curricula on the use and configuration of learning environments to ensure the best student experience.
At Carnegie Mellon University, Alex appreciates how our work promotes a 100+ year legacy to support some of the world’s most talented and innovative scientists and engineers. For Harrisburg University of Science and Technology, he was proud to lead a team whose design formed a strong, integrated learning community that helped revitalize the city.
