Souk Xoumphonphackdy

Senior Associate, Architect

Photo of Souk

Committed to a meaningful and collaborative design process, Souk is a design architect who works primarily with K – 12 projects in urban, rural, and indigenous communities. Listening is key. He works through a compassionate lens—turning dreams into reality by transforming community needs into spaces that inspire. Always striving, he looks to achieve design excellence through inclusive design and the right balance of narratives, architectural features, and function.

As design architect for the Kingfisher Lake First Nation new school project, Souk expressed the community’s vision for a school inspired by their cultural traditions with iconic features of the Kingfisher bird depicted throughout the building’s architecture.

A first-generation Canadian, Souk’s often reminded of the sacrifices it took for his family and community to help get him to where he is today. Not everyone’s afforded the same opportunities, but he believes we can help support one another to reach our greatest potential. Outside of work, he enjoys traveling to new and familiar places, trying out new restaurants, playing sports—particularly tennis—and spending time with family and friends.
