A principal structural engineer with nearly 15 years of experience, Jim has worked on industrial, water, wastewater, mining, infrastructure, subdivision, government, bridge, and commercial efforts. He has successfully supported projects from concept and feasibility through to detailed design, construction support, and project delivery.
Recently, Jim has been embedded within BlueScope Steel’s project prime team at Port Kembla, where he has undertaken design leadership and project management roles on the Walking Beam Reheat Furnace Project. Working within a live brownfield environment, he has coordinated multidisciplinary teams and managed structural, civil, mechanical, operation, and construction interfaces to support safe, efficient project delivery.
Committed to continuous learning and professional development, Jim completed postgraduate research at the University of Wollongong on the practical application of fiber reinforced polymer (FRP) materials in concrete structures. He has also contributed to engineering education through lecturing and tutoring engineering students.
Outside of work, Jim enjoys playing soccer, coaching his children’s junior soccer team, and spending quality time with his family.
