Caboolture Hospital - 32 Bed Ward

Surrounded by a growing population, Caboolture Hospital needed to expand. In conjunction with Peddle Thorp, our team worked with Brisbane’s Metro North Hospital and Health Service to develop a new 32-bed inpatient ward on the third level of the main hospital building.

To achieve this, the existing level three administration area was moved into demountable buildings alongside the hospital building, which was conducted as an enabling works project. Stantec provided design services for the establishment of services, fit out and covered walkway between the demountable structures. We also provided mechanical, electrical hydraulic and fire services performance documentation, as well as the associated infrastructure modifications and necessary relocations.

Stantec’s aim was to deliver an effective design that limits disruption to hospital operations and is flexible for potential future developments. Now complete, Caboolture Hospital will be able to treat an additional 2,500 adult patients each year.
