Camp Master Plan Design

Our client, a blue-chip mining company, was looking to increase capacity at one of their mine camps in the Pilbara region of Western Australia. We partnered with their trusted building compliance and architectural consultants to develop the camp’s master plan, from conceptual design to final approved layout.

The client faced some challenges with land approvals that required us to provide a redesign of the camp’s layout. Constrained by challenging topography and existing heritage sites, the camp’s footprint needed to adhere to a strict boundary set by the regulators. We worked with the end client’s preferred vendors to include transportable buildings and essential services for a turn-key solution.

Following this work, we provided issued for construction drawings, enabling the engagement of a contractor to undertake the construction.

When complete, the new camp will accommodate up to 260 personnel in late 2023.
