Once a slope failure has occurred, geotechnical investigations are required to allow decision-makers the information they need to remediate and strengthen the site. That’s exactly what our team helped to do on the Doctor George Mountain Road.
Our client needed factual data from comprehensive geotechnical investigation works and a detailed remediation design of the slope to form a critical foundation for the restoration project. Our team drilled three strategic boreholes across the damaged site to collect crucial ground condition data. This data identified the potential risks and challenges of the area which we then outlined in a comprehensive geotechnical report. The report included a detailed design analysis for each site and drew on existing geotechnical information, identified ground conditions, laboratory results, assessment of modeling and remediation options, and construction phase support options.
The result? Our client was equipped with the necessary knowledge they needed to make well-informed decisions regarding future activities at the slip site.
