Dohertys Drain Outfall Channel
Stockfield’s master planned residential development comprises 900 lots. Positioned in grassland reserves vital to the local ecosystem and an expansive nature conservation area, the development required the construction of waterway—Dohertys Drain. Stockfield engaged us to provide professional services for the design and construction of complex drainage works.
Our services included land development, water and environment, geotechnical and structural engineering, and construction and focused preserving sensitive waterway ecologies. The complex planning approval process took five years to complete. It included coordinating multiple design disciplines and setting realistic deadlines for local and state government departments and utility companies.
Coordination and collaboration among the numerous internal and external teams set the foundation for the successful completion of the drainage works. Dohertys Drain helps empty a large upstream development catchment and mitigate peak flood events, protecting the ecosystem and new development.
