Environmental Management Services for a Major Hazard Facility in Victoria

The client needed help to comply with their Environmental Protection Authority (EPA) operating license and meet their general obligations under the environmental regulatory framework. They reached out to our environmental professionals to assist with these efforts.

Since 2013, we have been responsible for the ongoing monitoring and management of groundwater and land quality at the site. Our advisory services include hazardous waste management, environmental compliance, and groundwater monitoring and remediation. Additionally, we have helped with the assessment and classification of over 30,000 cubic metres (1.06 million cubic feet) of soil and rubble, resulting in a significant reduction in both the volume of material requiring offsite disposal as well as the hazard category of the material.

With their continued dedication to mitigating and reducing the potential impacts on ecological and human health receptors arising from groundwater-related issues, the client is also working with us to restore the environmental values of soil and groundwater on site and protect the environmental values of receiving surface water bodies.
