Harrisdale Shopping Centre

The Harrisdale Shopping Centre is the first stage of a planned town center in Stockland Newhaven, a new residential community in Perth’s south east. We were brought in to complete sustainability, electrical, hydraulic, and fire engineering services for the project.

Our teams worked on the building management system which monitors energy, water, and gas usage as well as the energy modeling for a number of chiller energy efficiency options. We contributed LED lighting design for energy efficiency, as well as solar panels. Additionally, the open mall design was made possible through the inclusion of a performance-based smoke hazard management system.

The design achieved a four-star Green Star design rating as well as an As Built v1 retail rating. Plus, with a shell designed flexibly to allow for expansion as well as different tenancies in the future, the Harrisdale Shopping Centre will serve as a key community venue for Stockland Newhaven.
