Our transportation plan focused on limiting impact on the existing road network and road users during the delivery of the games

The INAS Global Games is a sporting competition held every four years by the International Federation for Athletes with Intellectual Impairments (INAS) and the Global Games Sports Company. In October 2019, INAS Games hosted more than 1,000 elite athletes from across the world competing at various venues within and around Brisbane.

An integral component of the games was the provision of effective transportation for athletes, support staff, and officials to and from the airport, their accommodation, and the various sporting venues. Our team provided event transportation planning services to Brisbane City Council (BCC), developing a transportation plan and strategy for its delivery. We also led industry engagement to source a suitable bus contractor to carry out the event mass transit services required throughout the duration of the event. Then, during the games, we provided on-site management, leading the day-to-day operational coordination of services between venues in a dedicated event situation room.

BCC was given a glowing report card on their delivery of the games on the international stage. Several international team leaders and captains highlighted that it was the best transportation from any games they had experienced.
