Oceanfront retirement living along the Southern Great Barrier Reef
Situated on the coastline of the Southern Great Barrier Reef in Queensland, this new community in Bargara will offer an oceanfront lifestyle for those choosing to downsize or retire in the region. Ingenia Lifestyles engaged us to deliver civil design services for a development that would meet the specific needs of its residents and operate efficiently well into the future.
The project’s coastal location meant we needed to prioritize stormwater management throughout construction and operation. Faced with a constrained site, we worked with a multidisciplinary team to develop an integrated layout with multi-use green corridors that also accommodate vehicles, people, stormwater, sewer, electrical, and communications.
Once complete, Ingenia Lifestyle Drift will offer around 300 dwellings along with community and social infrastructure including a social club, sports club, pool, and bowling green.
The project is currently under construction with the first houses expected to be delivered in early 2024.
