Kingaroy Solar Farm Survey and Design

Kingaroy is an agricultural town located north of Brisbane and known for its production of wine and peanuts. Our client wanted to bring renewable energy to the area, so they engaged us to survey the land and create a concept design for a solar farm.

We provided geotechnical, structural, civil, traffic, flood, landscape, ecological, and electrical engineering services for this project. By offering comprehensive, in-house services across a wide range of disciplines, we could readily adapt the design and resolve any conflicts of uses or requirements.

Our services also included preparation of construction and operational environmental management plans for environmental approvals as well as management and delivery of surveys, both topographic detail and cadastral boundary overlay. Additionally, we helped address flooding issues by evaluating multiple scenarios to channel water through a series of culverts and open drains into newly created retention basins to help protect nearby properties.

Our client now has a better understanding of the lay of the land to proceed with their future solar farm.
