Meadow Springs

Surrounding the Meadow Springs Country Club Golf Course, south of Perth, Western Australia, the Meadow Springs development is now home to over 2,000 families. In 2010, Mirvac decided to undertake the mammoth task of redoing the master planning for the remaining 600 lots at Meadow Springs. The goal? To deliver a more desirable product mix and provide better community functionality and amenity.

Our team was retained to complete the civil engineering scope which included tree retention, urban water management and drainage, the utilisation of natural features and topography, and the incorporation of sustainable design principles. Tree retention was an early focus in the engineering design requirements and constraints and was supported by early identification and planning. On the water management portions, we utilised specialised drainage cells to allow vegetation and landscaping to sustainably treat and detain road runoff.

Designing with natural features in mind maximised the view of natural landforms, including a limestone quarry and significant vegetation stands throughout the estate. The Meadow Springs development now supports a thriving, beautiful, sustainably designed community.
