The Gold Coast shines brighter thanks to Parklands vibrant “Village Heart”
Any urban development project can remain a pipedream without effective engagement of critical stakeholders. We applied all our engagement expertise towards making the Parklands urban development a reality, and now it’s a landmark on the Gold Coast.
The redevelopment of Parklands, into 7 hectares of master-planned residential and retail precincts and 7 hectares of open space, is one of the Gold Coast’s largest urban renewal projects. We worked closely with the developer, Grocon, to build relationships with three key stakeholders—Queensland Government, Economic Development Queensland, and the Gold Coast City Council. We provided strategic project positioning advice to Grocon during the initial bid phase and tailored a custom development application and approval strategy.
But, after approval, we weren’t finished with Parklands yet. Our engineering teams embedded with the design team including three of Australia’s leading architects and the construction team, to provide innovative solutions and engineering support for the striking design of this transformative urban renewal project.
