Upper South Creek Advanced Water Recycling Centre
The development of a new international airport in Sydney will transform the surrounding rural areas with a predicted population increase from 26,000 to 650,000 by 2056. To support the region’s forecasted growth, they’ll need a rigorous sustainable wastewater and recycled water service.
As technical advisor, we’re working with Sydney Water to help them find the right teams for the design, construction, and operations of the Advanced Water Recycling Centre, pumping stations, and transfer pipelines. After that? We’ll assist Sydney Water and successful proponents through design development, construction, and commissioning phases for the plant.
A key element of our role is to help provide a facility that springboards the region into a variety of future circular economy initiatives. Once complete, the Centre will produce high quality recycled water—near enough to drinking water quality—with the potential for other commercially viable products to support the productivity and prosperity of the local economy.
The project’s primary milestone is to be operational and servicing the new Western Sydney Airport in 2026.
