Assistance and Technical Support for the Evaluation of LIFE Proposals

LIFE is the European Union’s funding instrument for environment and climate action. Since 1992, it has co-financed thousands of environmental and nature conservation projects. Recently renewed with a budget of €5.4 billion for the period between 2021 and 2027, LIFE aims to fulfill the objectives and targets of the European 2020 Strategy and the EU’s environment and climate strategies.

Every year, the European Commission receives numerous applications related to nature and biodiversity, environment and resource efficiency, water, air, waste management, and climate projects. To ensure fully independent, fair, and transparent evaluation processes, the Commission selected our team to provide administrative and technical support. Since 2014, we have assessed all proposals submitted under the LIFE annual calls for action grants in all thematic areas and operating grants for European non-profit organizations. In 2022, we were selected to continue our support for the upcoming four annual calls.

From 2021 to 2027, LIFE will focus on four areas of action: nature and biodiversity, circular economy and quality of life, climate change mitigation and adaptation, and the clean energy transition. Through the technical assistance we provide in the evaluation of LIFE proposals, our team facilitates the development and implementation of innovative solutions to environment and climate challenges in Europe.
