Nationally Determined Contributions (NDCs) are the commitments that countries around the world have made to achieve the goals of the Paris Climate Agreement; they pave the way for how each country plans to attain their climate sustainability goals.
We work closely with the African Development Bank to enable the participation of Africa’s private sector in climate-related investments that support the implementation of NDCs in Africa. Our team supports this initiative through the identification of NDC-related green investment opportunities with a potential for private sector involvement. We also provide assistance to project promoters for the development of bankable investment proposals, and capacity building for access to climate finance. Our technical support for green investment project identification and design includes an assessment of bankability.
Communication, visibility, and raising awareness are goals that underpin all aspect of our work with the African Development Bank. Altogether, this helps create an enabling environment for private sector investment in green business in Africa.
