Vietnam Sustainable Energy Transition Programme (SETP) Support

Energy efficiency, renewable energy sources, and energy information systems are at the heart of Vietnam’s Sustainable Energy Transition Programme (SETP). On behalf of the European Union, our team is providing technical assistance to the Vietnamese Ministry of Industry and Trade to assist with this shift to greener energy solutions.

Our services include support and capacity building related to renewable energy and energy efficiency policy, legal and regulatory frameworks, power market analyses, norms and technical standards, energy information systems, and energy governance. We are also helping to monitor and evaluate the budget support component of the SETP, as well as communication and visibility around the SETP and Team Europe initiatives in Vietnam’s energy sector.

In addition to helping Vietnam transition toward a higher share of clean and renewable energy, this project also supports improvements in energy performance and assists in the prevention of energy losses.
