The ACCESS Fort Garry Healthcare Centre unites a range of non-acute primary care health services built around the needs of families and seniors living in the community. With a homecare nursing clinic and a primary care clinic, it’s a one-stop shop offering convenient access to a broader range of services and information to families within the Winnipeg community.
Our team completed the conceptual design development and construction documents for the base building and tenant improvements as part of a design build team. For this project, the property developer was responsible for the construction of the building, which was then leased back to the tenant, the Winnipeg Regional Health Authority. Tendering and contract administration services were provided by our team as part of this effective design build process.
This facility is the fifth ACCESS Centre that Stantec has successfully completed for the Winnipeg Regional Health Centre in the past ten years. It’s another step forward in building a more robust, thoughtfully coordinated accessible primary care system, supporting the province’s commitment to ensure any Manitoban who wants a family doctor has access to one.
