Calgary Airport Authority - International Facilities Project IT Design

Recent years have brought extraordinary growth to the Calgary International Airport (YYC)—far outpacing their master plan projections. With more passengers, passenger congestion on the rise, and operational services under stress, they needed expansion. Significant expansion.

A revised master plan provides solutions for today and incremental expansion up to a 2025 horizon. At the core of this plan is a new terminal (Pier E) that will ease crammed spaces and serve all international passenger flights through YYC.

In this new space, our designers created a high-performance IT environment that flexibly interfaces with the existing terminal buildings. Airport IT systems are complex. From flight information, gate management, and baggage management down to public address systems, access control, emergency services, and more, there’s a lot to knit together. With our design, the Airport Authority is creating a more positive passenger experience in YYC.
