Developing land to increase the capacity of housing in Waterloo

As the Region of Waterloo has continued to grow, housing developments have become the centrepiece of the residential boom.  In East Waterloo, a 70-hectare plot of land was approved for development and is operating under the name of Carriage Crossing. The land was subdivided into 320 lots plus two condominium blocks that will contain 175 units.  There is also a large block for Employment Lands and a small commercial block.

Stantec provided a complete range of land development engineering services, including topographic surveying, preliminary and detailed design of area grading, municipal infrastructure, and stormwater management.  The development will be completed in a three stage process, and will include paths, trails, and recreational amenities such as playgrounds.  In order to address maintenance needs an onsite space will be used to act as a central storage depot.
