Explorami Elementary School - HVAC System
The Bécancour region has seen steady growth in its school-age population over the past few years, making the construction of a new elementary school in the Sainte-Angèle-de-Laval sector a necessity. The Centre de services scolaire de la Riveraine entrusted our electrical and mechanical engineering team with designing an innovative heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) concept.
We developed an HVAC system that prioritizes energy efficiency, indoor air quality, occupant comfort, and equipment longevity. Heating is provided through three sources: heat recovery from exhaust air, aerothermal energy, and electricity. Together, these solutions help reduce energy consumption, operating and maintenance costs, and greenhouse gas emissions.
The new Explorami school welcomes 300 students in a spacious and comfortable building with energy performance that exceeds the reference standard by 22 percent.
