Expanding a heavy industrial steel stamping facility
In Elora, Ontario, the Jefferson Elora Corporation was planning to expand their heavy industrial steel stamping facility. Their industry? Automotive. They wanted a 68,000 square foot facility expansion, including building, structural, mechanical, and electrical engineering.
With an eye on Jefferson’s production schedule, we handled a full complement of design, engineering, and construction management services on this $8M expansion. We worked on a press pit foundation design for a 1500T stamping press, a six metre scrap metal conveyor tunnel, and a 60’ overhead bridge and gantry crane runway extension. The project also included four warehouse bays and new plant washrooms.
Now, with this expansion, the Jefferson Elora Corporation is better equipped to maintain their place in the automotive industry.
