Waskaganish Community Miyupimaatisiiun Centre Engineering Design

To better serve the community, the Cree Board of Health and Social Services of James Bay (CBHSSJB) launched the construction of a new Community Miyupimaatisiiun Centre in Waskaganish. They engaged our civil, structural, mechanical, and electrical engineering team to work on the complex design of this building, addressing the unique challenges of construction in northern regions.

From planning and technical specifications to structural work, electromechanical assessments, and exterior civil works, our engineering team supported the CBHSSJB at every stage of the project. We led the highly technical design and integration of emergency services, dialysis, pharmacy, and dental care.

Today, the Cree community benefits from a modern, purpose-built facility that meets the growing needs of the region. This new building offers a wide range of health and social services, including a women’s shelter and a dedicated youth protection space.
