Montréal-Mirabel International Airport - Runway 06-24 Rehabilitation

Ranked among the world’s top three aerospace hubs, Montréal-Mirabel International Airport is home to 30 companies that have set up shop at this site and whose activities are dependent on the airport’s facilities. Maintaining the Montréal-Mirabel infrastructures and facilities in top shape was crucial for serving the community’s growing needs. Thus, after 40 years’ service, it was time for the airport’s main runway―one of eastern Canada’s longest―to undergo a much-needed facelift. This called for the complete rehabilitation of paved surfaces, as well as drainage, electrical, and marking systems, in addition to the grounds bordering the runway.

Our specialized airport infrastructure design team went above and beyond simply rehabilitating the runway, by delivering a work of exceptional quality. We came up with and implemented a combination of innovative techniques for optimizing this rehabilitation along with the runway design, so as to meet the objectives and needs of our client. Our experts were on hand at every step of the rehabilitation, from preliminary studies to choice of concept, to execution of works.

The team delivered a runway that achieved the highest standards in airport design, according to schedule, and within the allocated budget.
