Prudhommes Landing – Master Plan, Site Design, and Approval Process

Prudhommes Landing is a transformative project along Lake Ontario in the Town of Lincoln spanning 79 acres (32 hectares). This ambitious project aims to transform a previous amusement park property into a mixed-use master planned community that will include over 3,300 residential units, over 100 employment units, commercial blocks, and a potential hotel. The development also features 15 acres (6 hectares) of waterfront parkland and open spaces dedicated to the Town of Lincoln, along new multi-use paths, including a new waterfront trail connection.

Our multi-disciplinary team has provided services in civil, planning, urban design, traffic, landscape architecture, site electrical, archeology, geotechnical, environmental, and project management. We prepared the master plan and are currently leading all aspects of the site design and approval process. The project requires a detailed strategy to confirm allocation of sanitary sewer capacity for each development phase and to address coastal elements and sensitivities. Coordination and communication with the local community, Town, Region and Niagara Peninsula Conservation Authority have been pivotal.

The Prudhommes Landing project has had to adapt to changing market conditions with updates to the development plans to accommodate an increased demand for residential units. With the team working on approvals in parallel through different phases, this redevelopment is on its way to being a key landmark in the Niagara Region and a vibrant waterfront master planned community.
