We adopted innovative workplace trends to bring true life to Stantec’s core value that we are better together.
After two acquisitions, our already-bustling Vancouver Office needed to accommodate additional staff—another 30% by workstation count—within a short stretch of time. With the rollout of new sit-stand workstations companywide, we could use a more compact footprint per workstation, while also giving the user a more ergonomic, versatile, and open workstation. But why stop there?
The design team consulted with managers and employees through integrated workshops to figure out how the business spaces could better facilitate team growth, project flexibility, and employee well-being. They incorporated the new workstations with various types of centralized collaborative spaces, a lighter, brighter contemporary feel throughout, and features such as demountable wall systems (mixing acoustic, tackable, and writeable panels) to support a range of staff needs. Plus, the Café area on 10th Floor integrates collaboration space that can be reconfigured in various ways for team collaboration and events.
The end result? Our designers created a workspace that supports how people work today, anticipates the needs of the future, empowers peak performance, and allows for flexibility as needs shift and technology advances.
