Expanding to enhance medical care for the St. Anne community

Ste. Anne Hospital – Operating Suite & Post Anesthesia Care Unit Expansion

In order to better service the Southern Health-Santé Sud Regional Health Authority located in southern Manitoba, the St. Anne Hospital needed to expand. We stepped in to help.

For this project, our team provided architectural, interior design, medical planning, and structural design consulting services for a new acute care and post anesthesia care unit (PACU), three new operating rooms (ORs), and a new central sterilization room (CSR). This 1,100 square metre single level addition allows space for two new ORs, an endoscopy OR, an eight-bed PACU, new CSR, and related staff change rooms and support services. Our design ensures this distinct ground-level space retains its linkage with the existing facility and OR space, and related areas are being renovated to provide a new laboratory, exam and consultation rooms, and administrative spaces.

The outcome? Patients of the Southern Health-Santé Sud community are better able to achieve optimal health through innovative, sustainable and quality health services.
