Valley Line West LRT

In collaboration with Marigold Infrastructure Partners (MIP), our team is supporting the design and construction of Edmonton’s Valley Line West, an essential piece of infrastructure that connects the city’s key amenities.

Expected to take five to six years to complete, the Valley Line West light rail transit (LRT) project is a 14-kilometre (km) rail extension from downtown Edmonton to west Edmonton. The project is the second stage of the Valley Line, a 27 km urban style LRT line that will operate between southeast Edmonton and west Edmonton. Our team is providing services for the geotechnical and environmental scope of work, including geotechnical engineering services during design and construction, geotechnical support to regulatory approvals and permits, environmental services during design and construction, and the application of environmental regulatory approvals and permits.

Upon completion, the project is expected to provide an LRT link to major destinations within the city, including schools, popular shopping streets, malls, and hospitals. Most importantly, it will help Edmonton affirm its commitment to green, compact, and accessible transportation.
