Western Canadian Shale and Conventional Well Development

Since 2013, Stantec has provided engineering, design, procurement and regulatory services supporting a large program of over 300 new shale and conventional oil and gas single and multi-well developments in southern Saskatchewan, southern and west central Alberta, and northeast British Columbia for a multi-national energy company.   

Working closely with our client, we developed custom sweet and sour designs as well as developed templated designs to facilitate repetitive installations enabling a “design one, build many” execution.   

The program also included existing satellite upgrades and battery expansions, pipeline design, modifications and upgrades of existing facilities including flare system upgrades, addition of water injection pump skids, inlet separators, compressor and dehydration equipment as well as greenfield engineering for terminal and gas plant.
