The Good Samaritan Society is committed to providing quality of care for the elderly, allowing them to truly make the most of their lives. When it came time to construct a new senior’s facility for the Vancouver Island Health Authority (VIHA), we partnered with them to create a place that felt like home.

Given our experience in long term care facility design, we were excited to work with The Good Samaritan Society to come up with innovative design solutions for this project. We guided this project through rezoning, municipal approvals, design, and construction documentation, with full services continuing through the construction phase to occupancy. Our building design features maximum daylight in resident areas, with windows and access to the exterior readily available at corridor terminations. The building's unique character is a response to community design guidelines and the beautiful cultural heritage of the neighborhood, and takes advantage of natural features such as existing mature trees and a public pedestrian path that follows a creek that runs around the perimeter of the site.

Through our partnership with The Good Samaritan Society, we turned Wexford Creek into a campus where seniors can truly live their lives to the fullest.
